End of year statement – Motormax grows team by 35%

end of year statement

2022 saw another successful year for Motormax. After a period of consistent, year on year growth, our focus has been to invest in infrastructure and increase our team. This will enable us to continue to provide our customers with exceptional aftersales service and support.

Investment in infrastructure

We saw recruitment across four departments including operations, aftersales, R&D and sales, growing our team by 35%. We welcomed Dale Hickman, Operations Manager to the business who brings a wealth of experience in strategy, planning and customer service. We further strengthened our aftersales team with the addition of two additional electrical engineers, which is set to increase further in 2023. This enables us to effectively manage aftercare requirements promptly and efficiently in line with our warranty and service. In 2023 plans are in place to further expand our technical support and R&D teams.

New product development

We continue to work closely with our customers to develop industry leading technology, constantly improving fleet safety and efficiency. Our foothold in the market continues to strengthen as we gain new customers and secure long-term contracts with many of the UK’s largest fleets. Our product team designed new, unique, solutions to resolve challenges faced by fleet operators. New products include AI technology and a Safetymax solution designed to improve the safety of maneuvering forklift trucks.

Collaborations

2022 has seen successful collaborations with leading telematics providers, Samsara and Geotab. Working alongside Samsara, Motormax has further differentiated our offering, creating an industry-first solution. Motormax camera technology fully integrates with the Samsara cloud-based platform delivering a comprehensive, single use platform to fleet operators. Safetymax technology alerts drivers to potential issues via a visual and spoken voice warning which are reported remotely via the Samsara telematics connected operations cloud platform. This includes video footage alerting logistics controllers and transport managers of the event and enabling them to review footage for future learning and education. This technology was hailed as ‘game changing’ by Tony Draper, Head of SHEQ at M Group Services Plant & Fleet Solutions.

Our collaboration with Geotab is progressing well as we move into a testing phase of an integrated telematics and camera platform. This will also enable us to offer a single platform solution to our customers.

Thank you to our team

We would like to give our sincere thanks to the Motormax team. Without the hard work and commitment of each individual, we would not be able to provide the level of service of which we are extremely proud.

Thank you to our customers, suppliers, and industry colleagues for continued support throughout 2022. We look forward to ongoing, successful partnerships in 2023.

Wishing you a merry, peaceful Christmas and best wishes for the New Year.
