Our Story

The Motormax story began long before the company itself. Brothers Jonathan and James Haycock have worked within the fleet safety industry since 1996. Having built a successful installation business, they developed an in-depth understanding of fleet operations, and the challenges operators face every day.

That hands-on experience became the foundation of Motormax.

Recognising that every fleet operates differently, Jonathan and James founded Motormax in 2010 with a simple philosophy: there is no one-size-fits-all approach to fleet safety. Every customer requires a solution designed around their vehicles, drivers and operational requirements.

That customer-first approach has shaped everything we do. Today, Motormax continues to work in partnership with customers to design bespoke fleet safety solutions that deliver measurable improvements.

A New Chapter: Motormax Group

In 2025, Motormax welcomed strategic investment from MxP Partners LLP, providing the platform for the next stage of the company’s growth. The investment accelerated research and development, customer support, and created opportunities to expand into new sectors and international markets.

That journey continued in 2026 with the strategic investment in Elite Vehicle Supplies, marking the formation of Motormax Group.

Elite has earned a strong reputation within the bus and coach sector, supplying specialist fire suppression systems, passenger information systems, accessibility solutions and safety technologies to bus and coach operators, manufacturers and transport authorities such as Transport for London.

Together, Motormax and Elite create a stronger business with broader expertise, greater technical capability and an expanded portfolio of innovative safety technologies. While each business continues to operate under its trusted brand, both benefit from shared knowledge, increased investment and a common ambition to shape the future of fleet safety.
