Limited Warranty
Motormax offers a limited 3-year parts and labour warranty on any parts supplied and fitted, unless a shorter timeframe is indicated by Motormax. This warranty is subject always to (i) the parts being used and maintained strictly in accordance with any instructions manual relating to the parts and any other instructions issued by Motormax, (ii) the parts not tampered with (including, but not limited to, any attempted repair or modification) by anyone other than Motormax and (iii) the parts being used reasonably by the customer.
If a fault is reported, Motormax will visit the site, subject to the site being located in mainland UK and the below conditions and investigate to establish whether the fault is caused due to a defect in the part or labour and therefore covered by the warranty or due to customer use or misuse and therefore not covered by the warranty. The decision of Motormax as to whether a fault is covered by the warranty is final. For any faults where the parts are located outside mainland UK, the customer will be required to cover any costs incurred by Motormax in conducting any site visits.
If a defect is found, Motormax will either repair or replace the defective part or repair the defect in workmanship at its sole option. Motormax’s liability pursuant to this warranty is strictly limited to the repair or replacement of the defective part or workmanship (as appropriate) in accordance with this warranty. All and any other liability that may arise as a result of any defect is expressly excluded from this warranty.
Reporting Procedure
If a fault arises which the customer believes is covered by the warranty, it must immediately notify Motormax by emailing ‘aftercare@motormax.co.uk’ and Motormax will make arrangement to visit the site and inspect the fault. The customer must follow any reasonable instructions provided to it by Motormax in connection with the defect. For the avoidance of doubt, any failure or delay to notify Motormax or to follow any reasonable instructions will invalidate this warranty.
Travel to any site is subject to a maximum 3-hour travel radius from Motormax’s head office. Any travel outside of this radius will result in the customer being liable to pay Motormax’s standard travel time rates as outlined below. Any cancellation or rearrangement of the repair must be notified within 48 hours of the scheduled visit otherwise a cancellation charge will be charged to the customer.
Costs
If Motormax attend the site and assess the fault is due to a defect in the parts or workmanship, then it will either repair or replace (at its option) the part or workmanship at its cost.
