Motormax announce support for Brake, the road safety charity

Brake the road safety charity

Motormax is proud to announce our ongoing commitment and support of Brake, the road safety charity.

Motormax has teamed up with the charity to support their work caring for bereaved and injured road crash victims and campaigning for safe roads for all. Motormax shares Brake’s vision of a world where no one is hurt or killed on roads, and every road victim receives the care they need. Brake campaigns for safe roads for everyone, calling on the Government to achieve solutions, in line with the Safe System approach to road safety. Brake’s National Road Victim Service helps more than 1,000 families every year by providing emotional and practical support for victims of road death or serious injury.

Alarming road safety statistics

• 1.3 million people die on the world’s roads every year
• Road injuries are the single biggest killer of young people aged 5-29 worldwide
• On average, 5 people die every day on UK roads and 84 people are seriously injured

James Haycock, Motormax Co-Founder and Director commented, “We are proud to support such a worthy charity as we all strive to collectively achieve safe and healthy mobility for all. We are dedicated to delivering pioneering fleet safety technology to improve road safety across the UK.  Our industry offers many solutions for reporting on incidents after they’ve occurred – and whilst there is obvious value to this, the latest technology is designed to proactively assist drivers and prevent incidents.”

2023 fundraising

Members of the Motormax team have committed to a number of events so far including a sponsored parachute jump and a sponsored 5K, 10K and half marathon at the Birmingham Running Festival held on 17th September 2023.
