Safetymax bespoke warnings and alerts designed to assist Tesco drivers
Motormax has worked with Tesco since 2018, originally assigned to develop a warning system for their fleet of refrigeration vehicles. The aim of the technology was to assist drivers when manoeuvring at low speeds.
Fleet safety equipment installed:
- Motormax designed a bespoke, 360-degree sensor system what uses 16 ultrasonic sensors to provide the driver with a clear indication of obstacles around the vehicle when travelling below 12mph. The visual display uses a traffic light system at fixed points around the vehicle, assisting drivers with low speed manoeuvres.
Safetymax
- Safetymax door warning system – the factory screen displays a visual image if the chill door is open, freezer door is open, shutter open, or side step is down.
- An audible warning repeats the alert to warn the driver, “Freezer door open”.
